For today's color challenge CC261, to use bashful blue, certainly celery, and melon mambo/pink passion. This is also for Flourishes' Grand Opening Celebration Challenge #1, FLLCCEL1, to use the sketch shown here: http://www.flourishes.org/2010/03/join-the-celebration/
It's a really great sketch, and I was proud of myself for not being quite so literal with it (a problem of mine), but I feel like my final result really doesn't do it justice. I practiced my watercoloring again (on the bloom), but it's nothing to write home about and it feels like my design just isn't cohesive. I probably won't have time to do another today, but I really feel like starting over and seeing if I can get something I'm happier with. I DO love this color combo and I know it will make a decent birthday card--I just know I can do better!
Thanks for looking,
Emily

Emily, we are always so hard on ourselves. This turned out to be very cheery with this color combo and some whimsical elements like the rolling marble technique panel and the lacy wheel. It is sure to bring a smile to the one who receives it.

This is such a pretty, cheerful card...you're far too hard on yourself, Emily! I think it makes a delightful birthday card!

Emily I like the different elements that you used to create the card. It may not be your favorite one but it is a bright cheerful card with lots going for it. The ribbon ties all the colors together wonderfully. Take if from your card and have a cheerful day.

Emily! GF . Leave the card. Go do something. Then come back to the card and see it for what it is...a striking beauty! I love the lo, your panel with the punched borders, and that awesome ribbon and slide! And your watercoloring looks wonderful to me!!! TFS!!!
